CHAOS THEORY

the term chaos is ambiguous but it’s particulaly misused in todays society.Take for example;its scientific description is…

Chaos theory is a field of study in mathematics, with applications in several disciplines including meteorology, sociology, physics, engineering, economics, biology, and philosophy. Chaos theory studies the behavior of dynamical systems that are highly sensitive to initial conditions—a response popularly referred to as the butterfly effect. Small differences in initial conditions (such as those due to rounding errors in numerical computation) yield widely diverging outcomes for such dynamical systems, rendering long-term prediction impossible in general.[1]] In other words, the deterministic nature of these systems does not make them predictable.

however in layman’s terms it suggests otherwise;it’s simply suggests that if current events are altered in the tiniest possible scenario,it can cause outcomes that are unpredictable.

it mainly depend on three fundamental principles;the 1st being How much uncertainty we are willing to tolerate in the forecast; how accurately we are able to measure its current state; and a time scale depending on the dynamics of the system.

the other day i was watching a movie, and the characters were arguing on whether to buy a furniture and there was mixed reactions.one of them insisted on adding a new table to their living space, but the other guy sayed if this were to happen,it would alter his living conditions.so he asked how it would that.but this other character said that although it wouldn’t be negligible at the moment,if it were all summed up in the future he would have lost a whole year of his time going round that table by the time he was 50 yrs old trying to get across the room!!

The funny thing is that i agree with him;because according to chaos theory..even in the deterministic system,if the equation is describing its behavior in a non-linear,a tiny change in its initial conditions can lead to cataclysmic and an unpredictable result……in other words once you change your previous idea of a concept, the chain of events later will be so huge that u will wonder why u did it in the first place(mind u its not necessarily a negative).

in other words, this blog today is about making decisions.actions have consequences.(at least according to Newtons 3rd law)

that’s  my thought today and i leave you with these words from Albert Einstein”as far as the laws of mathematics refer to reality, they are not certain, and as far as they are certain, they do not refer to reality!

have a good day…will you…
